Kri island description

Kri is an island in district Batanta Utara at Raja Ampat. The water is so clear. Kri looks like a mountain in the sea, it has many trees and animals such as kuskus, Ayam Hutan and Hamid crab. In the Kri island, there is more than 6 resort in there, 2 of the resort is owned by Max hammer also he has the small airstrip for his helicopter to serve people in there for God's glory and the other four were built by the villagers and the landowner. It will take 1 or less than an hour to circle the island by kayak. The water looks so clean and fresh, also the weather is so hot all my skin burned because of the sunshine.
The tress in the Kri looks so different than in Sentani, the trees are smaller than in hiring. In the Kri, the rocks Are very sharps rock and strong. Up in the airstrip or everywhere on the island you will find dead coral that hard to broke it.
The water was so clean and fresh. There is a lot of fish in the water it was an amazing opportunity to see hundreds of fish at JETI and near the shore. The current was very strong it changes every time. The weather looks good no rain no wind, but the temperatures quite hot even at night time.
Infrastructure
In the Kri island, all the homestay is traditional style, the max design that way so that the people in the raja Ampat can still using their traditional house because it was more simple and efficient than a modern house.
The traditional house looks like this, it is simple. The roof can hold for five years and the wood can hold for more than ten years. In Kri, I just see a few houses with a modern house, but it was built for some reason like the store and the main office in Sorido. In Batanta most of the house was from a modern type but in the small village where we went, I don't see any modern house except the church.
In Batanta I don't see any school but in the small village, I saw a school that Pak max establish for the kids in the village to learn. They still need a lot of material to support their learning. Also in there no police no military only in the main island Waisai, and a church in a small village. In there no hospital or medical care at all.

At the Kri island, Papua diving provides electrical power. But at the small village, each family provide their electric some don't have electric at their house. Many of the villagers using the solar panel because it was possible things to use. For cooking they use fire and some did use the stove.
To connect to other people around them they will walk across the jungle and sea by boat. But if they want to go to the Waisai or Sororng some will use the boat but some will use the ferry from Waisai to Sorong.

Description of the people
Health-People at Raja Ampat have very good health most of them in good condition. From the small village, I don't see any health problem but I think they do need medical supplies for them to anticipate. The government must provide them water supply because they have lack water, they only have a few well that they dig to get fresh water.
Daily life – daily men will go fishing and the woman will keep the house clean, sometimes they both went fishing. The woman usually works in their garden or in do housekeeping. They will wake up at 5 in the morning and start their works until noontime. They don't have any traditional clothing they all use normal clothes as we do but most of their church clothes are batik.
The villagers love to eat the banana, cassava, rice, fish and the other stuff. But for the special day like on Sabbath day they will have more menus to eat. The most interesting thing is that they cannot eat crab or pig it was unbelievable it thinks that it was a very good food to eat but because they are advent they cannot eat that kind of food.
Family life- I think I cannot easily see who married to whom because most of them have wife or husband work out of the village. The average of the child in a family is 4 to 6 or more. They have a really good relationship between children and parent because the parent s love to hugs their children also they like to give praise to each other as usual, a parent does. They only go to another village to go to school, because the school was in another village.

Oral history
Ancestors- The yarweser people come from Biak, their mother language is Biak language. They move to Yarweser in 1991 by boat, for the first time they just built a tent to live but when more people going there they starting to build more houses until now they had a small village.
Gospel-At first time they all were Lutheran but after had a different opinion about day to do service they moved to advent. That's why they all move to the advent of the church because they believe that the right day to praise God is on Sabbath day.
